Sound Awareness Workout CD - New 2013 Edition! (#49927CD-IN)

Ages 4 through 8. The worksheet activities on this CD help children develop phonological awareness as they participate in a variety of language and listening activities. Worksheets focus on closely related sounds that children often confuse. Lessons build phonological awareness using activities that also strengthen language and verbal reasoning skills. Skills emphasized include identifying sounds within words, blending sounds to create words, identifying syllables, listening for sounds within sentences, and MUCH, MUCH MORE.

The product is divided into three sections:

  • Listening Workout for Sounds and Syllables. Activities are included in which the child compares sounds, identifies differences, blends sounds to create words, identifies syllables in words, etc.
  • Sound Contrasts. The activities in this section help children to recognize voicing contrasts.
  • Find the Sound. This section includes picture worksheets in which children are asked to identify words that have sounds in common.
Illustrated game task cards are included in the new second edition. All worksheets and game task cards on the CD may be reproduced.
