Ages 5 through 11. Your students will enjoy searching picture scenes for the /r/, /s/, /l/, /sh/, /ch/, /t/, /d/, /k/, and /g/ sounds. Students are challenged to think as they participate in a variety of exciting activities.

This 175-page book includes high-interest activities that can be used to strengthen articulation skills as students talk about situations presented in pictures. The pictures can also be used to enhance awareness of differences between closely related sounds. The worksheets are divided into three sections:

• Worksheets for L, R, and S. Students are challenged to find pictures of words with their sounds and to create stories using their sounds.
• Worksheets for Sound Contrasts (e.g., /t/ and /d/). The worksheets in this section will help students learn to distinguish between closely related sounds. The activities encourage students to use language creatively.
• Worksheets for Any Sound. The worksheets in this section can be used to present activities for any sound. Gameboards can also be created using the worksheets. These activities are great if students are grouped together but work on diffierent sounds.
• Picture Scene Activities. Activities with full-page, high-interest picture scenes are included for commonly misarticulated sounds and sound contrasts. A key-word list and story starters anre included for each scene. Ask children to label the pictures in the scene, to respond to questions, and to tell original stories. These pictures can be used in a variety of ways to provide connected-speech practice on target sounds.

The cleverly illustrated pictures make learning fun and motivate students to practice their sounds. All activities can be used at school or at home. The reporducible pictures anad worksheet activities can be used in a variety of ways to meet the diverse needs of students.
