Developing Word Power - Antonyms (#4313-IN)

Age 8 through 11. Strengthen vocabulary as children learn opposites for common words. The worksheet activities in this book can be used to facilitate the development of vocabulary and verbal reasoning skills as children practice associating concepts with their opposites in a variety of contexts. Two words with opposite meanings are presented in each worksheet. The opposites are also presented in an entertaining pictures. Students practice using opposites as they construct "opposite" sentences, complete analogies, draw pictures showing antonym contrasts, etc. In addition to learning a variety of vocabulary words, children practice expressing contrasting ideas by incorporating the target words into sentences.
